When We Succeed, They Succeed Too
About NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Health)
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization. They are dedicated to improving the lives of millions of Americans that have been and are still being affected by Mental Illness. Their goal is is to create a world that is free of mental health stigma, allowing for a more transparent world and a better way for people to get the help they need.
They do this by educating, advocating, listening and leading their own programs to change Mental Health Stigmas.
They are in line with what we at WMUH stand for. So, let’s stand together!

Why do we give back?
One of the fastest ways to becoming a happier human being, is to focus on others. Sounds Ironic doesn’t it? You may think that, “hey if I want to find happiness, shouldn’t I be focusing on me and not on others? How does that help me?”
It’s true that you can choose happiness, and that the first step starts with you becoming happy involve you actively seeking happiness…but what you may not realize is that the beautiful thing about happiness is that it doesn’t end with you. It begins with you, and ends with others.
Happiness is contagious and when you’re happy, your first impulse is to feel it… and then to ultimately share it. Sometimes we get stuck on how we can share it… this is the solution.
When you’re helping others, the process of focusing on something outside yourself, often frees your mind from the negative thoughts you tell yourself. It helps you get out of your head, and into the present moment.
You’ll soon realize that you have more than you could ever really need…
This is why we give back, because we HAVE more than we NEED.
We want to keep growing and getting larger (don’t get us wrong!), but this initiative isn’t just about growing… it’s about making the world a happier place to live in.
We’re called What Makes Us Happy, because we’re more than just making you and me happy… we’re about making us all happy.
Us is the world. Us is the human race. And Us are those in need.
